The Design Corner @ Park House Dun Laoghaire
It’s hard to believe that just a year ago I took part in the first design shop with a collaborative of jewellery designers which has now grown into a mixed design pop up that is taking up its third residence in Park House Dun Laoghaire,
It’s a really nice space to home my new designs inspired by my recent trip to Morocco! I’m really enjoying working with some new designs which will be posted up on my online-shop very shortly, which I’m really excited and happy about,
The Design Corner is open from now until May 7th if you find yourself in Dublin this Spring!

Spreading Ourselves Around The World
We’re Packing Our Bags This Week To London and Hong Kong
My pieces have made it safely to London to be exhibited this week as a part of the “Feast Of Fancy” collection put together each year by Gill Wing Jewellery,I met them in the Origin Jewellery show last September and I am really looking forward to see how my work is received in this kind of a setting. I love it when work is exhibited as a second strand to just being sold its a really nice platform to show in. Unfortunately I cannot drop by for a peep but if you are in London do have a sneaky peek… for more information about the event click here,
Tomorrow I am leaving for Hong Kong for four days, I love it there but sadly it’s more-so work than play this time, I do this every year… then after I am back it is straight back to the design process. I cannot wait to bring out some new ideas and new designs, I’m feeling really inspired at the moment and ready to get travelling, designing and making for 2012!
Will take snaps!

To Love and Be Loved…
This year for Valentines Day I wanted to try something a little bit different so I have put together what I am calling the Love Bracelet. It is made with pink jade and vermeil gold which encourages gentle healing, love and protection. The reason I am calling this the Love Bracelet is for two reasons, one, for those you love to own and cherish and two, each bracelet sends love elsewhere. I am donating 15% of proceeds to support the Irish Cancer Society.
My piece is on my online shop and to take a look click here or on the image to the left,
Happy Valentines Day,
Ali
2012 Opens New Doors
So here I am in 2012 so soon……
2012 for Ali Nash is looking like a new and exciting chapter. Strictly speaking the next two months are a little bit of time for me to take some proper time to design my new collection which I am really excited about. In February I will be making my way to Hong Kong to source my stones in my usual three/four days of craziness which I do every year. With some luck I can pull some time aside to hopefully travel after this maybe Morocco or India if I am really lucky so that I can find some new inspiration and build the collection I really want to bring out during the year.
Apart from my own side projects within my line I am already looking into a lot of really exciting projects with people that I met in both Dublin and London last year. The more I look into it and the more i reconnect from the busy end of 2011, this year for Ali Nash Jewellery is shaping up to be slightly hectic but very new and exciting.
I will post as things come up as always throughout the year,
Warm wishes for all of you this year,
Ali
Ali Nash Storie
Ali Nash Jewellery has found a beautiful home in Paris. Today I am sending off some work to be sold in the STORIE boutique on the Rue Delambre in the 14eme arrondissement. After living there in the past years it’s amazing to have myself present again in this little gem of a shop in such a great city. They celebrate a lot of really beautiful design from around the world that can come together to tell a story…
“There are so many talented people in the world who create fantastic things, but paradoxically we buy more and more standardized objects and uneventful. So we decided to open a shop that seeks to tell the story of the products it sells, their provenance, and to provide access to many artisans and designers who deserve to be recognized.”
I’m delighted to be a part of their story and Paris once more!

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…
The studio and I are in Christmas shock, it’s that time of year again and that means that The Crafts & Design Fair 2011 is set to fill the RDS hall for 5 days beginning the 30th of November. I’m really excited to bring out some new designs to my new stand space 63 in the Main Hall this year.
It’s a great opportunity for me every year to move away from my studio space and meet my customers personally. If you are in Dublin during these dates, the 30th Nov-4th Dec make sure to take a note and to pop in, say hello, and really take in the atmosphere. It’s a great event and day out with some really lovely unique pieces from different disciplines across the board,
Hoping to see you this Christmas,
Ali
The Laundry Basket
It’s catch up time and in this super busy time of year for me two projects are making headway at the moment….
One of these projects is The Laundry Room and their Christmas Pop Up Shop which is in a really great and interesting space. This will be my first time showing in a Pop Up Shop in London not to mention in a georgian house. It will be open for two days in full and I am so excited to ship my pieces over for London to see. If you are lucky enough to live in or be passing through London on the 3rd or 4th of December try to grab some time for a peek of what The Laundry Room has in store this Christmas.
Aswell as this I have just completed a small collection of my work that will be placed in a new online shop called The Design Basket just in time for Christmas and even better for last minute present buying. The website showcases a huge amount of really lovely contemporary work from Irish designers and I’m delighted to hold my own space side by side with them.
More exciting things coming up for me really soon! Such a busy season, such an exciting season.
Now…back to work,
Ali
